NEW PATTERNS || SEASONLESS: MINI COLLECTION VOLUME ONE eBOOK IS HERE!

I am so excited to finally reveal the latest collaboration between Jane Richmond and I - SEASONLESS | Mini Collection Volume One is here!!!! 

Modern minimalism was our style inspiration and pieces that were suited to any season was the end goal. An open work lace hat (Schwimmen), drop stitch crescent shawl (Laylow) designed by me and comfortable pullover (Palladio) designed by Jane Richmond make up the seasonless pieces of this gorgeous mini collection!

Over the weekend we had a booth at the 3rd annual Knit City where we launched our newest collection! We  had originally planned to sell a limited number of printed booklets as a special release at Knit City and then return home to make the digital versions available. But the response to the printed booklets has been overwhelming and we would love to give everyone an opportunity to buy their very own printed copy!

So today we are so excited to launch the lovely eBook (76 pages), because we just can't bear to keep you waiting any longer! But if you have your heart set on a hard copy (29 pages) of SEASONLESS we will be offering the printed booklets for a limited time, coming soon! Jane and I are so in love with this special collection! The Mini Collections are a new series we will be releasing in between our larger book publications. We truly hope you will enjoy knitting and wearing these as much as we do!

STYLO ISSUE 2 || THE FRANKIE DRESS PATTERN (COMING SOON)!

I've been excitedly counting down the days until the newest issue of STYLO was out and today's the day!!!!! My upcoming dress pattern - FRANKIE, is featured in STYLO Issue 2!!!!

I've been sketching the design for FRANKIE since last fall and knew I wanted it to be our next VERY SHANNON sewing pattern for this sprint! I've got a soft spot for color blocking and thought it would be a fun detail to add to such a cute dress silhouette! My girls and I just love it! I'm aiming for a late May/early June release so stay tuned! It's such a fun sew! I'll be putting a call out for testers soon as well.

PATTERN || EMERY - SUMMER ISSUE OF POM POM QUARTERLY!

I'm so excited to tell you about my newest pattern - EMERY that is now available in the newest issue of Pom Pom Quarterly!!!

I've been happy dancing around the house since Friday with excitement! I'm a huge fan of Pom Pom Quarterly and was over the moon to be able to publish a pattern with them! They are such a fun and modern knitting magazine! If you haven't seen an issue yet I highly recommend them. You can purchase & subscribe online and also find Pom Pom at your local yarn shops and select bookstores.

I so enjoyed knitting and designing EMERY! This pattern is a textured play on fun geometrics! Knit from corner to corner to create a triangular shawlette that is modern & stylish and can be worn multiple ways. Reversible & light, this pattern is quick to memorize and easy to knit for all skill levels. Stitch definition pairs nicely with the lace details creating a triangle emblem focal point on this sweet, yet modern shawl.

Last fall I went after all sorts of dreams. I just bit the bullet, closed my eyes and hit send...on more than one occasion.

One of them was to submit a design for the new Scarves etc. 2014 Collection for Quince & Co. Now if you read the blog and know me you know how obsessed I am with Quince & Co. It was a DREAM of mine to be published by them and I'm so EXCITED to say now that's it's one that has come true!!!!

That's right!!!!! My newest pattern - Keirnan is in the Scarves etc. 2014 Collection that will be for sale tomorrow!!!! The pics are all up on ravelry today though so you can go fave, queue & more! YAY!!!!! I'm beyond thrilled and have had such a great time working with Quince & Co!!!

To design with their yarns is always a joy and to have one of my design/styling/photography icons - Carrie Bostick Hoge, photograph/style my pattern...I swear I almost fainted! I honestly jigged around the house yelling like a loon with my kids staring on thinking this is it...mom's finally lost it! I have had to pinch myself on numerous occasions!

In honor of the sale and of my littlest one growing out of her original Sweetheart Dress I couldn't resist whipping her up a new one! And even better I couldn't resist making it out of one of my new fave lines "Catnap" by Lizzy House forAndover Fabrics. Isn't this print adorable? I used Kitty Dreams in Cranberry. I love the whole line!

Only modifications I made for this Sweetheart was to use the full width of fabric to make the skirt from. We wanted to up the twirl factor! I also used a huge button which in hindsight isn't the best idea as the button loop had to made quite large to account for the size of the button and allows the heart to be open a tad more at the top portion which bugs me to no end...but not enough that I'll change it...lol. It's one of my favorite retro buttons from my stash and I love that extra pop of red!
