I chose to use the fab print Painted Pony Roan Knit from the lovely line Wanderer by April Rhodes for Art Gallery Fabrics. AGF Knits are my FAVE. I love them and hoard them like a nut...lol. So when I got my copy of the Denver tunic for the pattern tour I knew I had to jump into my adored stash of AGF Knits for this top! I was feeling the fall weather around here and the warm color of this print appealed to me. I like that it adds some color to my wardrobe without being too in your face.

I opted to leave my cowl neck in the main fabric and not use my cuff and band fabric. I felt like having all that white contrast under my neck and above my ample boobage would just draw weird attention to the garment.

All in all I can't wait to make another of these. I've already got plans for one in a sweater knit and some more AGF knit. Bring on the tunics!!!

PATTERN INFORMATION

PATTERN: Denver Tunic + Dress by Blank Slate Patterns - part of the Pattern Anthology Unbiased Collection

FABRIC: Painted Pony Roan Knit from Wanderer by April Rhodes for Art Gallery Fabrics and White Ribbed Knit from Girl Charlee from my stash.

SIZE MADE: I sewed up a Size Large. I was a Size Large for all my bust measurements but was higher by 1" for the Large hip measurement. I chose not to go up to the XL as I'm still working out and losing weight. I'm currently down 18lbs since Jan 2015 but have another 22lbs to go before my goal. So I'd rather have it fit a bit snug than too loose (which is what the XL would have given me).

MODIFICATIONS: I made no modifications to the pattern sizing. Only modification I did do was to the pattern piece markings. I added markings on my Centre Front and Side Panels to match the top of my pocket binding to. I found the first time I sewed my 2nd side panel I was off a bit (even though I matched my bottom etc per instructions). I ripped back and tried to fix as good as I could. Next time I make one I will make sure to add the markings to fabric and may even baste the top of the pocket portion first to the side panel and then sew up/down the rest of panel.
